Mary O’Sullivan, MD, specializes in Pulmonary Medicine, and is the Director of the Smoking Cessation Program at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease. A graduate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Dr. O’Sullivan received both her residency training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital Center.  She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. 

 

Dr. O’Sullivan developed the asthma clinic program at the St. Luke’s site that provides care for patients with severe asthma. She is involved in research projects looking at legal intervention as a means for achieving household remediation and its impact on asthma care, and the effect of bariatric surgery on asthma control. Her additional interests include upper airway disease, effects of obesity on lung function, and smoking cessation.
