David L. Carr-Locke, MD, is Chief of Digestive Diseases and Co-Director of the Center for Digestive Health with Beth Israel Medical Center. Internationally recognized in the field of therapeutic endoscopy, he brings 35 years of experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy to his leadership positions at Beth Israel. Dr. Carr-Locke received his medical degree from the University of Cambridge in England, followed by residency training in medicine and gastroenterology at University of Leicester and fellowship training at New England Baptist Hospital. He has more than 250 original articles, book chapters, books and videos to his credit and has also conducted extensive research into new devices for therapeutic endoscopy. In addition to lecturing worldwide, Dr. Carr-Locke sits on the editorial board and is a reviewer for numerous professional journals, including Lancet, Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and the New England Journal of Medicine.
