"While visiting New York recently, my wife suffered a grand mal seizure and we ended up in the Emergency Room at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital. Once I knew she was going to be okay and calmed down a bit, I looked around at what else was going on. Ambulances were continually bringing people in, things were very, very busy yet every member of the staff was calm and collected and things very, very organized. Everyone else who came in was quickly attended to as well. I had never seen an ER that was anything like it. Now, I tell people “If you’re ever in New York City and want to see how an Emergency Room should be run, go to St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals and have a look.”
